Privacy policy
Draft of 23 October 2026.
RTL Export for Confluence ("the app") is published by Bilal Baniminah ("we" or "us"), an independent developer. This policy explains what data the app handles, what we receive, where it is stored, and how to contact us. We, not Atlassian, are responsible for our processing of the data this policy describes.
In short
- The app runs entirely on Atlassian's platform (Forge). We run no servers of our own and receive no copy of your Confluence content.
- Exports are made in the browser of the person exporting and saved to their computer. The app stores only your site's export defaults.
- We receive personal data only from Atlassian's licence records and from emails you send us.
- We sell no data. Apart from Atlassian, which hosts the app, only our email services handle data for us.
What the app reads
When someone exports a page, the app reads, with that person's own Confluence permissions:
- the page or blog post (its title and content), the attachments it shows as images, and the pages under it when they are included;
- for the cover page, the space name, the display name of the page's owner, the version number and dates.
Atlassian's servers fetch this content for the app, and the exporting person's browser builds the file from it. The app does not store it, and it is not sent to us or to anyone else.
What the app stores
Your site's export defaults (direction, numerals, font, paper size, calendar, cover page and table of contents), which a Confluence administrator sets. They are kept in Atlassian's storage for your site until the app is uninstalled, follow your site's data residency, and contain no personal data.
Logs
Atlassian keeps logs and usage metrics for the app, which we can see in Atlassian's developer console: operation names, page and attachment ids, sizes, error codes and timings. They never contain page content. We use them only to keep the app working and to answer support requests.
What we receive from Atlassian
Atlassian hosts the app and your data under its own privacy policy. Through the Atlassian Marketplace, Atlassian shares with us the licence and billing details of sites that install the app, which can include the names and email addresses of the site's technical and billing contacts. We use them only to manage licences, to tell you about important changes to the app, and to give support.
Support emails
When you email us, we receive your name, your email address and what you send, and keep them for as long as we need to answer you and for our records, no longer than two years after your last message. Please do not send page content you are not allowed to share.
Emails to our addresses are forwarded by Cloudflare's Email Routing and kept in Google's Gmail service.
Where data is stored
| Data | Where it is stored |
|---|---|
| Your site's export defaults | Atlassian's storage for your site, in your site's data residency location |
| Logs and usage metrics | Atlassian's systems, for Atlassian's developer console |
| Licence and billing details | Atlassian's Marketplace systems, where we view them |
| Support emails | Google's data centres, in the United States and other countries |
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to support@jerzeem.com. For data stored in Confluence itself, contact your site's administrator or Atlassian.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update this page and its date, and we tell Atlassian and the contacts of the sites that use the app about any material change.
